Thomas Huber’s paintings have layers upon layers of built up gesso, ink, acrylic, wax and plaster. He includes found lists and diagrams. He scrapes and gouges the surface to reveal what lies underneath. His ink pieces, on the other hand, have no surface texture. Their beauty exists in color and form. And they almost seem to be form studies of the shape you see over and over again in Huber’s paintings. These are our favorites. But, no matter which medium Huber chooses, he always presents a fantastic image.
